In a recent Tax Notes article, firm attorneys Naveid P. Jahansouz, Cody R. Gackle, and Jeffrey M. Glassman are recognized for rescuing a Tax Court case that was dismissed due to prior counsel's inaction - and negotiating a settlement that eliminated over 90% of the asserted liability.

In Torres v. Commissioner, petitioners were left facing more than $130,000 in assessed taxes and penalties after their prior attorney failed to appear or respond, resulting in dismissal of the case. After the taxpayers retained Meadows Collier, our team successfully moved to vacate the dismissal, reopened the case, and ultimately negotiated a highly favorable settlement.
