Mr. Buchanan practices in the areas of federal tax controversy, estate and gift tax, trust and partnership taxation, and white-collar tax defense. He represents individuals and businesses at every stage of a tax dispute, from IRS examinations and administrative appeals through litigation, and he handles related planning and compliance matters.

Mr. Buchanan earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, where he served as a Senior Staff Editor of the Tax Law Review. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, where he attended on a full Dean’s Scholarship and served on the Executive Board of the FIU Law Review. He earned his BCom, summa cum laude, from McMaster University. Before joining the firm, he clerked in Miami with a complex commercial litigation firm.

Mr. Buchanan was admitted to practice in Florida in 2025.
