On May 29th, the U.S. Tax Court announced it will be conducting remote trial sessions until further notice, joining many other courts around the country. A short press release announcing remote trial sessions is HERE.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to present public health risks and challenges, particularly where multiple individuals come together in a courtroom. In response, and until further notice, Court proceedings will be conducted remotely. See Administrative Order 2020-02 regarding remote proceedings and Administrative Order 2020-03 regarding Limited Entries of Appearance. If you have any questions, contact the Public Affairs Office at (202) 521-3355.
The procedures for how the court will conduct remote sessions using Zoom is in Administrative Order No.2020-20, HERE .
The court had previously cancelled all trial sessions and closed the clerk’s office, although all the judges have been working remotely.
