By Jeffrey M. Glassman on February 27, 2018

On February 26, 2018, the United States Tax Court announced that Judge Maurice B. Foley was elected Chief Judge to serve a two-year term beginning June 1, 2018. Judge Foley was originally appointed by President Clinton in 1995 and re-appointed by President Obama in 2011. His current appointment ends in 2026. The Tax Court, and the interests of taxpayers, will be in good hands under Judge Foley’s stewardship.

The author served as a law clerk to Judge Foley from 2011-2013.
