On February 26, 2018, the United States Tax Court announced that Judge Maurice B. Foley was elected Chief Judge to serve a two-year term beginning June 1, 2018. Judge Foley was originally appointed by President Clinton in 1995 and re-appointed by President Obama in 2011. His current appointment ends in 2026.
