Anthony Daddino was quoted in an article today by Kristen A. Parillo in Tax Notes.

Anthony Daddino was quoted today in an article by Kristen A. Parillo of Tax Notes, “A Look Ahead: Tax Pros Seek Clarity on Limited Partner Exception.”  Anthony was interviewed regarding the pending Tax Court case, Sorban Capital Partners LP v. Commissioner, proposing that the IRS will have a tough time arguing that the partners shouldn’t be treated as limited partners.

“For years the IRS has championed its win in Renkemeyer, said Anthony P. Daddino of Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins, Crouch & Ungerman LLP. “But' Renkemeyer involved a limited liability partnership, which is a general partnership that made an election for its partners to have limited liability,” Daddino said. “It did not involve a true limited partnership under state law.”
