
Ms. Swartz’s practice focuses on federal and international tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and cross-border transactions, as well as defending clients in federal tax litigation and other tax controversies. She has over a decade of experience advising corporations, investment funds, and financial institutions on the tax aspects of complex domestic and international business arrangements.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Swartz worked on complex tax matters both in the private sector as a tax attorney at a major international law firm and in the public sector as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division. This unique perspective allows her to provide well-rounded tax advice that is both intelligible and actionable.
Amanda earned her LL.M. in Taxation from NYU and her J.D. from Georgetown. She combines deep technical tax knowledge with a practical, business-oriented approach to helping clients achieve tax-efficient outcomes in complex transactions.
Ms. Swartz was admitted to practice in Texas in 2013 and New York in 2008.
