United States v. One Fossilized Tyrannosaurus Bataar Skull

Congratulations to Mike Villa, Aaron Borden, and Mark McMillan for winning a case seventy million years in the making—United States v. One Fossilized Tyrannosaurus Bataar Skull, Case No. 7:17-cv-00106. The Honorable Reed O’Connor, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas determined that the government’s complaint, which sought forfeiture of the skull under 19 U.S.C. § 1595a, was barred by the statute of limitations, specifically 19 U.S.C. § 1621, and thus he dismissed the complaint with prejudice. We are proud of all of their hard work and dedication!
