Meadows Collier Welcomes Three New Attorneys to the Firm

Meadows Collier is proud to welcome the following three attorneys to the firm:

Jeffrey M. Glassman
, J.D., LL.M. has joined the firm as an associate attorney practicing in the areas of Income Tax Litigation, Estate and Gift Tax Litigation, and White Collar and Government Regulatory Litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in all stages of tax disputes, including examinations with the IRS, administrative appeals, voluntary disclosures, and litigation. Mr. Glassman has significant experience advising clients on strategic and procedural considerations in U.S. Tax Court and other federal courts. He also concentrates on resolving white collar and governmental investigations. Prior to joining Meadows Collier, Mr. Glassman was an associate with an international law firm. He also worked as a senior consultant at an international accounting firm. He served three years as a Law Clerk to The Honorable Maurice B. Foley in the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. He attended the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business and received his B.S. in Finance. He has published articles for legal publications and has spoken at both American Bar and Federal Bar Association events. Laura L. Stapleton, J.D., LL.M., CPA joins the firm as Senior Counsel practicing in the areas of tax planning, real estate, corporate, and estate planning and probate. Her tax planning practice includes federal, state, and international tax planning for businesses and individuals seeking to minimize tax obligations while accomplishing objectives. Her real estate practice includes representing clients in the purchase and disposition of improved or unimproved property, development of property, structuring ownership entities, tax-free and like-kind exchanges, and negotiation of all types of loans. Ms. Stapleton's corporate practice involves representing clients in the acquisition and disposition of businesses, mergers, and business entity planning including partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. She represents issuers and broker/dealers in matters relating to state and federal securities regulation, including the preparation of private placement memoranda and other offering documents. She drafts estate plans to accomplish client objectives as to the disposition of estates. She also represents executors in probate administration and the settlements of estates. Jason A. Hendrix, J.D., LL.M. joins the firm as an associate practicing in the State Tax Litigation and Planning practice area. He also practices law in the areas of Income Tax Litigation, Income Tax and Business Planning, Commercial Litigation and Corporate. State Tax Litigation is focused on taxpayer representation in disputes with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He has successfully represented taxpayers during audits and at administrative hearings through the State Office of Administrative Hearings. His Commercial Litigation practice involves representing individuals and entities in both state and federal court in a variety of controversies including complex business disputes, securities, and health care, among others. His practice also includes both domestic and international Income Tax and Business planning. He represents individuals, estates, partnerships and closely-held businesses, and large corporations in all tax disputes, including IRS examinations and administrative appeals. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate with another Texas law firm. Mr. Hendrix received his LL.M. in Taxation from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his J.D., with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law.
