Now is the time to engage your clients in a discussion regarding the status of their estate planning. Many items must be completed before year-end or they will be lost. Others simply need attention on an annual basis. Maximizing annual gifts are time sensitive and must be attended to. Others, such as the review of beneficiary designations, discussions about changes in family circumstances, ensuring that all family members have appropriate plans are necessary to have annually to ensure the plan works as intended.
